Facilities

The Department of Dance is located in the Dance Building on UGA’s South Campus, behind the Marine Sciences Building conveniently located directly across from the South Campus Parking Deck and the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Hotel & Conference Center.  Snelling Dining Hall is also next door as well as the Science Library.  The Department houses 5 dance studios and the New Dance Theatre, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose flexible teaching and performance space.  The studios and theatre are all equipped with smart classroom/studio technology, and with the exception of the “tap” studio, all have sprung Marley flooring.  The department also has a technology enhanced classroom, men and women’s locker rooms and a separate dressing room for performances.  See below for a short tour of the studios and let dance alum Gracie Bailey take you on a journey of her life as a dancer at UGA!
