Admission Information University Admissions Application Recent steady increase in applications to UGA has created higher entrance requirements, so a respectable high school GPA and SAT score join aptitude in dance as requirements for admission to the dance major program. To receive the UGA admissions, please visit: https://www.admissions.uga.edu/. Dance Entrance Auditions All dancers seeking entrance to the Department of Dance as freshmen or as transfer students must attend a formal dance audition prior to the semester/year they are attending. High School students will audition in their senior year. Dancers wishing to major in dance but entering UGA prior to auditioning for the major program are given "provisional dance major" status, if passing a placement audition just prior to the start of the semester. Provisional majors are placed in dance major courses at the appropriate level and should complete the next scheduled formal audition. Dancers are accorded full recognition as dance majors by the University only after completing all University Core requirements. » See additional information about auditions here.
