Encompassing various music genres and styles of dance, the show has a vast spectrum of creativity and something for every audience member to enjoy! Our students not only build choreographic and leadership skills, but they also get to learn and work with their peers while fully exploring the styles of dance they have been learning and helping to push them in new and innovative ways along the way. We invite you to experience the future of dance! As part of the 2025 Spotlight on the Arts Festival, this year's Student Choreography Concert, "Patchwork," will be held November 12, 13, 14 at 7:30 pm in the UGA Dance Theatre at the Dance Building. 13 student choreographers will showcase their original works, mentored by our esteemed faculty, in an unforgettable night of movement interwoven with emotion. With an accomplished ensemble of over 40 performers and a dynamic range of dance styles including contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, jazz, pointe, and aerial, "Patchwork" will delight, challenge, and inspire audiences of all ages. Tickets are on sale now at the Performing Arts Center and Tate Center box offices, by phone at 706-542-4400 and online below. Tickets will also be available at the door one hour before each performance, however, advance purchase is strongly recommended. Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the UGA Department of Dance after 5:00 p.m., or at the South Campus Parking Deck next to the Georgia Center for Continuing Education for a fee. $8 students/seniors, $14 general admission.
