UGA Dance Theatre

The UGA Department of Dance presents SANKOFA, a performance concert celebrating dance and community performed by UGA Dance Company students. The concert will be held on Thursday and Friday, February 19th and 20th at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 21st at 2:30 p.m. in the Dance Theatre at the Dance Building on Green Street off of Sanford Drive. This concert remembers and embraces the shared passion and the care towards a common goal, and the emotional release it brings as an artist. SANKOFA celebrates the many versions of ourselves as artists and explores the different ways of dancing and performing without getting stuck. Dance is a never-ending journey.

Tickets are on sale now at the Performing Arts Center and Tate Center box offices, by phone at 706-542-4400 and online at pac.uga.edu. Tickets will also be available at the door one hour before each performance, however, advance purchase is strongly recommended. Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the UGA Department of Dance after 5:00 p.m., or at the South Campus Parking Deck next to the Georgia Center for Continuing Education for a fee.
